MOUNJARO WEIGHT LOSS INJECTIONS - At present, tirzepatide (Mounjaro) is not available for prescribing in any setting in Greater Manchester for weight management.
Please do not book a GP or Nurse appointment regarding this
We can not prescribe Mounjaro for weight loss at the present time
The new weight loss service including Mounjaro prescribing will begin in August 2025
If you are eligible, your GP will contact you
there is no need to contact the surgery
This service is Greater Manchester wide, and you eligibility will be assessed by the Health Board, not your GP
To be eligible you must have a BMI over 50 AND 4 of the following conditions:
- High blood pressure
- Abnormal lipids
- Obstructive sleep apnoea
- Cardiovascular dsease
- Type 2 diabetes
If you do not meet the above criteria you will not qualify
A list of eligible patients will be sent to each surgery. We’ll contact you if you are included in that list.
