We have had to make the decision to cancel all patients pre-booked appointments as of 12th March 2020. We want to make every effort to safeguard our patients and staff by reducing footfall in to the Practice.
All appointments will be book on day only and triaged by staff and the clinical team for the foreseeable future.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE.
Surgeries open from various times. The earliest appointment can be booked with Dr Finegan at 8.00 am, which ensures that a patient can schedule an appointment before they attend work if necessary. However, we open at 7.30am to deal with other enquiries Bookings can then be arranged with other Doctors up to 12pm.
Usually, there is no surgery between 12 and 1pm; however the reception stays open throughout the day even when there are no surgeries. This enables patients to collect their prescriptions or book an appointment if necessary.
Afternoon surgeries start at 1.00pm and the doctors stagger their starting and finishing times so that there is cover until between 5.00pm and 5.30pm.
The surgery is open until 6.30 pm, which ensures that patients can visit the practice after they have finished work for such purposes as collecting prescriptions, making appointments etc.
The surgery is no longer open at weekends.
There is one doctor at a time at this surgery. The surgery is open from 8.00am or 8.30am and the doctor starts at between 8.45am to 9.30am and finishes between 10.45 and 11.30am. The surgery is closed from 1.00pm
The nurses and other healthcare professionals are available at different times. Please ask at the desk for more information.

However, you may have to wait: Please Be Patient.

If you need a longer appointment with the Doctor or Nurse, or require procedures that take a little time, such as smear tests, coil fits etc., please inform the receptionist, who will allow you a longer appointment and avoid unnecessary delay for other patients.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
Bolton Road SurgeryThere is a substantial car park and also road parking available. The practice accepts no liability for patients parking cars on the car park surrounding the surgery premises. Cars are parked at the owners risk. The car park is free and there is no time limit.
